Wolfie was born at Annie's Orphans, to a pregnant mother who was accepted from an out-of-state shelter prior to being euthanized. He was adopted out as a baby along with his sister Bailey. He is currently a year old and was returned for joint (with his sister) aggression toward another household pet. Assessment of temperament and triggers is currently happening; however, to the right individual who has knowledge of the breed and of handling challenging behaviors in dogs, adoption is a possibility.

Sienna is one of 4 puppies left from a litter found on the reservation. She was with her "wild" mother and is a bit timid. She has come around quite well and is walking pretty nicely on leash. Sienna is looking for a family to love and prove to her that people are good. She is about 4 yrs old, current on shots and on heartworm prevention. Sammy is a 4 year old, very shy, one-person dog. She would be excellent for a single-person household. She requires a lot of exercise and must have a fenced yard accessible from the door of her new home. She tends to be dominant with other dogs, but can get along with them. Sammy came to our shelter from a rescue in Dulce.

Bailey was born here to a pregnant mother rescued from an out-of-state shelter prior to being euthanized. She was adopted out as a puppy and is now a 1 year old. She was returned following aggressive behaviors toward another household pet. She was reported to have growled at her owner, as well, when she was verbally corrected for her behavior with the other pet. Bailey's temperament is being assessed currently, and she is being worked with to determine how solid she is, but -- to the right, dog- savvy individual who is familiar with the Shar Pei breed -- adoption is a possibility.

Sweet, little Juliet is the most Shar Pei-looking of the litter. But, not only is she a cute bundle of wrinkles, she is also very smart. Less than 4 months old, Juliet has received her puppy vaccinations, but will be due for a rabies shot later on.

This is one dog who can win hearts with his searching eyes and inviting expression! Doogan is an adult, male, short-haired mix who came from a local reservation. He loves to play with his toys and carries them around waiting for someone to join in the game. He is approx. 45 lbs and is fully grown. He does have some facial scars from a rough past, but wants to put it all behind and start anew! He is very athletic and attentive to direction. He loves other dogs too! We believe he will make a loving and loyal addition to your family! He has a preference for women.

Swayze is good-natured, LOVES playing with kids and is fun to watch as he entertains himself with his jolly ball and rope toys. He is good with other dogs as well, so his long stay here is rather a surprise. This guy would be a wonderful addition to an active home and is ready to be welcomed into someone's life!
