Although we don't currently have a picture up for Andy, he looks very much like Ariel, who can also be viewed on this site. He is cute, with his huge ears and his lighter-colored mask! Andy came to us from an out-of-state shelter via foster-care. He is a bit shy, about 7 to 12 months old, has been heart-worm tested (-) and is possibly house-trained, although he is kenneled at present, so we don't know for sure.

Sam is a large, ginger-colored, 8 year old, Chihuahua boy. He and his friend, Pam, needed placement when their aging companions moved into assisted living, and Annie's was called since the family hoped to avoid any risk that the beloved pets might be euthanized. While a little stand-offish initially, Sam is very friendly/sweet and listens well. He has slimmed down since his arrival here and weighs in at 16 lbs now. He will be happiest placed in a home with a gentle, small, female dog. He loves playing the role of "big brother." Sam is already microchipped.

Lady is a recent owner-surrender. While a bit shy, she is well-mannered and good with people. She is reported to be house-trained, but does not like inclement weather, thus requires some coaxing to "take it outside" during stormy times. Her approximate weight is somewhere around 7 to 8 lbs. and, as a tiny girl, will prefer a home without small children.

This fellow has lots of energy! With proper socialization, Shiloh has transformed from a shy boy to an engaging and loving dog . He is about 2 years old. Shiloh came as an owner-surrender and was raised on a nearby reservation. He has a vertebral injury that requires he be walked on harness, not collar. He is taller than most Carolina dogs, has a nice, athletic build and is looking for a loving companion with which to share life!

At around 6 pounds, Jolie is the perfect lap dog! She loves being held and gets very bonded with her one, special person. She came to us from an in-state shelter and is spayed and fully vaccinated. When placed, she will need some brush-up and supervision on her house-training skills, but responds well to being taken outside for her business and is also trained to potty-pads. She walks very well on-leash and is good with most other dogs. While she may state her objections to another dog encroaching on "her" lap, she responds well to verbal correction. Like many Chihuahuas, she can be protective of her person. She seems to have a preference for women. This little sweetheart is 4 years old.

Sienna is one of 4 puppies left from a litter found on the reservation. She was with her "wild" mother and is a bit timid. She has come around quite well and is walking pretty nicely on leash. Sienna is looking for a family to love and prove to her that people are good. She is about 4 yrs old, current on shots and on heartworm prevention. Lacey is a strikingly attractive and muscular girl. She is an owner-surrender, coming from the home of an older woman who couldn't care for her. She is obedient, housetrained and up to date on shots. She walks well on leash and is very affectionate with people. Lacey is between 5 and 6 years old. She will do well with an athletic individual who is also dog-savvy and will respect the fact that she doesn't do well with other dogs.

Tyson is a German Terrier with all the traits true of this breed. He will need a job, lots of exercise and an owner with a high degree of skill in handling a dog with lots of "pluck." Tyson is dog-aggressive/not good with most dogs (a few exceptions apply). He is between 2 1/2 and 3 years old and came from a high-kill, out-of-state shelter. Tyson will require a fence.
