Harry

Harry
Harry JUST arrived, full of energy, playfulness, love of life and of people. He gets along famously with other dogs, is 1 year old, has a beautiful, strong build and -- at 22 pounds -- is a VERY large Crested. As you can see, he is the hairless variety and, as a stray, was a surprise find! After being held at a municipal shelter for 5 days and not claimed by anyone that may have lost him, he was sent our way. He loves socializing and is looking for just the right person to love!

Tomas

Tomas
This recent intake is a 4 year old, light buff-colored fellow, who weighs approximately 10 pounds. He is extremely cute and full of personality! Tomas was owner-surrendered along with his friend, Lady, and is eagerly awaiting a new start!

Lexi

Lexi
This ten month old girl has the world before her! She still has some growing to do and is in need of a "formal education," but is intelligent and eager to learn. She has a sweet, loving, submissive personality. Lexi comes immediately upon recall. She hasn't yet learned much about toys, but plays well with other dogs and loves people. We don't know right now how she responds to children or cats or if any house training has been done. She is an extremely attractive and appealing dog and probably won't be with us for long, so let us know of your interest soon!

Monty

Monty
Monty is one of the most loving little guys I've ever been around. great with other dogs and kids. Actually he thinks everyone is his best friend. He is active and playful and loves to go for walks. He is four years old and needs a loving home so bad. He needs to be watched in the house at first and needs a little more house training.

Oliver/Odie

Oliver/Odie
One very appealing boy, Oliver is extremely social, excellent with people and good with most other dogs. He is about 1 1/2 years old and came from a Missouri high-kill shelter, having been found as a stray puppy trying to eke out a living for himself. While he is largely house-trained, he will still need supervision. Oliver also benefits from the presence of another well-trained dog within the household whose cues he can follow. One concern is that Oliver has developed a liking for cords/hoses, and training is in place to discourage this fetish. Site-specific training as well as supervision will need to occur after he has found his perfect home.

Sampson

Sampson
Sampson is a cute and wonderful boy who needs a little more confidence to overcome his shyness. He has, however, made lots of progress. He is great with other dogs and is always ready to play. Sampson is good on leash and is learning his commands well. He just needs a stable family to show him that not all people are mean and nasty. He is 3 years old. A fenced yard will be an absolute necessity. Email your inquiry and come see this active boy play!

Georgi

Georgi
Georgi is certainly a cutey! He is petite (5 lbs or under), probably around 2 years old and walks well on a leash. He likes a one-on-one relationship with an individual and gets very bonded to "his" person. He is crate-trained and is coming along quite nicely with his house-training, but will require supervision and a regular schedule.

Creamer

Creamer
Creamer came to Annie's Orphans along with 4 other poodle mixes who had been raised in and rescued from a hoarding environment. She is one cute girl, full of life and eager to play with any mix of adults, kids and dogs. She is around 7 or 8 pounds, solid white and has a sturdy, doxie build. Creamer is 3 years old.

Nico

Nico
Nico is especially loving. No background information came with him, but he is probably 4 or 5 years old. Little Nico has a heart-condition, for which medication is necessary. He would be a great companion for an older person.

Blacky

Blacky
Blacky is a recent arrival who came to us from an out-of-town shelter after his owner had to go into a nursing home. He is a 12 year old, mini-dachshund, weighing in at about 10 lbs. Of course, with the loss of his companion, Blacky's life took a sudden turn; then, more difficulties followed: Blacky was over-anesthetized while being neutered, and his little life was a bit iffy for a while. After stabilizing, an oral infection required attention, and he received much needed dentistry (thanks to the Eagle Animal Protection League!). But, Blacky has come through all of this like the trooper that he is!! He does not seem to experience any ongoing physical complications from these difficulties, other than the fact that he has few remaining teeth and requires a soft or soaked diet. Blacky is good with other dogs and appears to be okay with cats, although he enjoys barking at them. He would be a very good match for a less active individual or a channel-surfer who enjoys good company.
