Although we don't currently have a picture up for Andy, he looks very much like Ariel, who can also be viewed on this site. He is cute, with his huge ears and his lighter-colored mask! Andy came to us from an out-of-state shelter via foster-care. He is a bit shy, about 7 to 12 months old, has been heart-worm tested (-) and is possibly house-trained, although he is kenneled at present, so we don't know for sure.

Sammy is a 4 year old, very shy, one-person dog. She would be excellent for a single-person household. She requires a lot of exercise and must have a fenced yard accessible from the door of her new home. She tends to be dominant with other dogs, but can get along with them. Sammy came to our shelter from a rescue in Dulce.

Jack is 9 years old, house-trained and a well-behaved, nondestructive guy. He is good with other large dogs and kids, but not with small dogs or cats. Jack weighs around 65 lbs. He is an owner-surrender, due to relocation. Jack has episodes of spot-hair-loss and itching related to a zinc-deficiency, which is well managed through supplementation. He is a noble, gentle, quiet fellow who wants to live out the rest of his days in a comfortable home with someone he loves!

Indy is a beautiful Shepherd/ Border Collie mix. He is approx. 5 yrs old and around 55 lbs. He is the brother to Coby. Indy loves to play with other dogs, but seems to prefer the lady-dogs. He is very agile and would be a great workout buddy. He is shy and skittish and will need a home with consistency, love and plenty of one-on-one handling. Placed with a person who has dog-savvy, he will come around. He has been fostered and thrives in a home environment. Schedule to visit him and bring your dog for him to meet!

This recent intake is a 4 year old, light buff-colored fellow, who weighs approximately 10 pounds. He is extremely cute and full of personality! Tomas was owner-surrendered along with his friend, Lady, and is eagerly awaiting a new start!

Lady is a recent owner-surrender. While a bit shy, she is well-mannered and good with people. She is reported to be house-trained, but does not like inclement weather, thus requires some coaxing to "take it outside" during stormy times. Her approximate weight is somewhere around 7 to 8 lbs. and, as a tiny girl, will prefer a home without small children.

Sam is a large, ginger-colored, 8 year old, Chihuahua boy. He and his friend, Pam, needed placement when their aging companions moved into assisted living, and Annie's was called since the family hoped to avoid any risk that the beloved pets might be euthanized. While a little stand-offish initially, Sam is very friendly/sweet and listens well. He has slimmed down since his arrival here and weighs in at 16 lbs now. He will be happiest placed in a home with a gentle, small, female dog. He loves playing the role of "big brother." Sam is already microchipped.

At around 6 pounds, Jolie is the perfect lap dog! She loves being held and gets very bonded with her one, special person. She came to us from an in-state shelter and is spayed and fully vaccinated. When placed, she will need some brush-up and supervision on her house-training skills, but responds well to being taken outside for her business and is also trained to potty-pads. She walks very well on-leash and is good with most other dogs. While she may state her objections to another dog encroaching on "her" lap, she responds well to verbal correction. Like many Chihuahuas, she can be protective of her person. She seems to have a preference for women. This little sweetheart is 4 years old.

Lil was owner-surrendered and is reputed to be house-trained. She is very cute and good off-leash. She will have to go to just the right individual, however, since she is shy, timid and avoids being leashed. She is a fairly good on-leash walker after being caught, but is difficult to leash-up. She will need patience, more socialization, continued training focus and lots of love. Lil is 2 years of age.

Lacey is a strikingly attractive and muscular girl. She is an owner-surrender, coming from the home of an older woman who couldn't care for her. She is obedient, housetrained and up to date on shots. She walks well on leash and is very affectionate with people. Lacey is between 5 and 6 years old. She will do well with an athletic individual who is also dog-savvy and will respect the fact that she doesn't do well with other dogs.
