Anasazi (Ana)

Anasazi (Ana)
Anasazi was found on the Navajo Reservation fending for herself. She is approximately 30 lbs; so she's on the small side, but this little girl is very athletic and active. She loves the water!!! She is looking for just the right person to create a new life with!

Andy

Andy
Andy is another of our fabulous Carolina Dogs for adoption! He is cute, with his huge ears and his lighter-colored mask! Andy came to us from an out-of-state shelter via foster-care. He is a bit shy, about 7 to 12 months old, has been heart-worm tested (-) and is possibly house-trained, although he is kenneled at present, so we don't know for sure. Contact us about this special boy!

Annabella

Annabella
Annabella is a precious girl, who is high, (did I say extremely?) high-energy. She came to us from a Denver shelter via foster care. Annabella is 2 years old and will need some good direction and a dedicated "job." She loves people and is so happy to share affection. Annabella has the largest, unbelievably-expressive eyes. One look at them and you might find yourself with a new, life-long friend! Why not test out this theory?!

Ariel

Ariel
Sweet little Ariel was sent our way, a very pregnant girl whose time was up for finding a home at another shelter. She was picked up running loose and was, unfortunately, impregnated during her first heat cycle. She had her "one-time" healthy litter of seven shortly after arriving and performed her role as a mother extremely well, especially considering that, at the time, she was still under a year old herself. She is a very people-focused lady, good with dogs, very attentive, affectionate and eager to learn. Ariel's ideal home will include another medium-energy canine friend and a family that will provide moderate activity, since an early-life injury to one of her feet causes some slight compromise. This 1 year old is ready to start a new life of her own -- filled with comforts, ample vittles and LOTS of affection!

Bailey

Bailey
Bailey was born here to a pregnant mother rescued from an out-of-state shelter prior to being euthanized. She was adopted out as a puppy and is now a 1 year old. She was returned following aggressive behaviors toward another household pet. She was reported to have growled at her owner, as well, when she was verbally corrected for her behavior with the other pet. Bailey's temperament is being assessed currently, and she is being worked with to determine how solid she is, but -- to the right, dog- savvy individual who is familiar with the Shar Pei breed -- adoption is a possibility.

Carmen

Carmen
Following a relationship split between her former owners, Carmen was returned after being placed for several months. She is a shy girl and is a one-person dog. She is probably house-trained, but will likely need a tune-up in that area after placement. She will appreciate a more quiet environment and lots of patience and love. Carmen is 3 years old.

Coby/Cobalt

Coby/Cobalt
Coby is a beautiful Shepherd/ Border Collie mix. She is approx. 5 yrs old and around 55 lbs. She is the sister to Indy. Coby loves to play with other dogs. She is very agile and would be a great workout buddy. She is shy but loving, and will need a home with consistency, patience and plenty of one-on-one handling. She will come around with the right person; she has already come so far. Coby has just been fostered, working on some skills she needs to find that perfect permanent arrangement! Comments provided to Annie's Orphans about Bebe: "Bebe is an American Bulldog. He is four years old, white with brindle spots. He is a super sweet boy. He needs a home where he can be with human companionship. He belonged to a retired woman who could not take him with her when she moved out of state. He would be great for a family that stays at home or a retired couple. He is great with other dogs and with cats. Bebe is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations."

Courtesy Posting - Buddy
This is one special dog, having passed the Canine Good Citizen and the Therapy Dog International training! As a registered therapy dog, he makes monthly visits to his hospital "clientele" and has great rapport with dogs, cats, kids and adults! Buddy is microchipped and is a well-mannered but active fellow, probably about 10 years old.
