Anasazi was found on the Navajo Reservation fending for herself. She is approximately 30 lbs; so she's on the small side, but this little girl is still athletic and active for a "senior-gal" (11 to 12 years old). She loves the water!!! She is looking for just the right person with whom to settle into autumn years!

Andy
Andy is another of our fabulous Carolina Dogs for adoption! He is cute, with his huge ears and his lighter-colored mask! Andy came to us from an out-of-state shelter via foster-care. He is a bit shy, around 2 years old, and is possibly house-trained, although he is kenneled at present, so we don't know for sure. Contact us about this special boy!
Annabella
Annabella is a precious girl, who is high, (did I say extremely?) high-energy. She came to us from a Denver shelter via foster care. Annabella is 3 years old and will need some good direction and a dedicated "job." She loves people and is so happy to share affection, inviting you over with a coquettish tilt of her head! Annabella has the largest, unbelievably-expressive eyes. One look at them and you might find yourself with a new, life-long friend! Why not test out this theory?!
Bailey
Bailey was born here to a pregnant mother rescued from an out-of-state shelter prior to being euthanized. She was adopted out as a puppy and is now a 2 year old. She was returned following aggressive behaviors toward another household pet. She was reported to have growled at her owner, as well, when she was verbally corrected for her behavior with the other pet. Bailey is a special case and will be adopted out only to the right person: a dog- savvy individual who is very familiar with the Shar Pei breed.
Carmen
Following a relationship split between her former owners, Carmen was returned after being placed for several months. She is a shy girl and is a one-person dog. She is probably house-trained, but will likely need a tune-up in that area after placement. She will appreciate a more quiet environment and lots of patience and love. Carmen is 4 years old.
Cinnamon
Our own little version of "Alf," Cinnamon is an adorable girl with very interesting coloration. She is referred to as "wild boar" in color, with a wide black stripe down her back accenting body coloration similar to a Weimaraner's. This little girl is an owner surrender, just had a full dental and is scheduled to be spayed soon. She is a sensitive, little being and is afraid of small children -- so her adoptive home needs to have no young kids. She also seems to have some issues with strangers. Cinnamon is 4 years old. Contact us about this little cutie!
Coby/Cobalt
Coby is a beautiful Shepherd/ Border Collie mix. She is approx. 6 yrs old and around 55 lbs. She is the sister to Indy. Coby loves to play with other dogs. She is very agile and would be a great workout buddy. She is shy but loving, and will need a home with consistency, patience and plenty of one-on-one handling. She will come around with the right person; she has already come so far. Coby has been fostered, working on some skills she needs to find that perfect permanent arrangement!
Courtesy Posting - Inky - ADOPTION PENDING!
Information provided to Annie's Orphans about Inky: "Hello, my name is Inky. I'm a 7 year old poodle who is looking for a loving home. I am jet black with a white goatee! I spent the first 6 years of my life with a lady who had 5 other dogs, so I get along well with other small dogs. My lady died, and I was rescued by another lady who has a cat. While the cat doesn't like me very much, I get along with him very well. My present lady has to move into assisted living and can't take me with her. I grieved for 6 months when I lost my first owner. I don't know how long I'll react to losing my second owner. I was born to LOVE. I am sweet and very affectionate. I am trained to use puppy pads, and with my first owner, I used the doggie door, to go outside. I love to go for rides in the car, and am very well behaved. I am a one person dog and am very shy around strangers. I bark at people when they come to the door, but I stop when my owner says "Inky, no bark!". I will bring much joy and happiness to you if you will give me a good home and lots of love. Please come meet me and you will see what a loving dog I am. I am also super smart, and easy to train." AO has been advised that Inky is under 15 lbs, vaccinations will be made current, and she is spayed.

Courtesy Posting - Jules
This pet is not being kept at Annie's Orphans. The following is a description of Jules as represented to us:
Here is Jules, a 5-6 month old, female (soon to be spayed) boxer/pit cross. She will probably be a lighter boned dog, mid- sized. Jules is VERY energetic and, like most kids, needs to play. She has lived in a home with kids. Jules is a parvo-survivor, and these pictures represent her now that she is healthy. Spay and vaccinations will be scheduled right away, so it would be great if we can get her to a home or foster home soon after that.
Courtesy Posting - Rodeo
This dog is not housed at Annie's Orphans. Following is information as represented to us. Persons requesting a courtesy posting are advised that their pets must be spayed or neutered:
Rodeo is an athletic, 3 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix (ridgeless). He is 50lb. and inherited the Rhodesian appearance and temperament including intelligence, gentleness, and strong sight and scent abilities. He has been our family pet for over a year, coming to us from a shelter. Due to our severe allergies, our Dr. recommends that we place him in a new home. He broke his back leg before we met and it healed on its own, now he walks with a limp. It causes him no discomfort and he still loves to run (very fast) and swim. He has not played with other dogs for over a year and will need help overcoming his dog aggression. His former shelter said he was not dog aggressive when we adopted him and he loves to learn new skills. He loves our cat and has done well with other people's children. Housebroken and crate trained, walks on a leash and knows basic commands like sit and stay and knows a few tricks like fetch. Has shots and is microchipped. Medium sized.
