Geena - IN FOSTER HOME

Geena - IN FOSTER HOME
Geena is protective, and she also has a defined preference for females. Geena came to us as an out-of-state stray. She is strong-minded, but responsive to training. Very fun-oriented, she has cute antics and is delightful to watch. Geena is an attractive dog, with very nice markings. The best placement for her will be in a household where she will largely be with the person or persons familiar to her -- not a lot of "stranger-traffic" and no children. UPDATE: Geena is currently being fostered and is receiving training and special attention from her foster mom!

Jack(3)

Jack(3)
Jack looks like a Saluki mix, with the tall, long-legged, slim appearance of a sight hound. Jack also has other tendencies of a sight-hound, making it unlikely that he would be good with small dogs or cats. His hair is short except for that on his ears and tail. He is gorgeous and challenging to describe, as his coloration is a mix of four colors and he has fascinating, yellow eyes! He is probably between one and two years old.

Murdock

Murdock
This happy little boy is representative of Annie's Orphans' dedication to the foundations that "LIFE MATTERS" and "EVERYONE DESERVES A FAIR CHANCE." This young Carolina Dog mix and his brother were transferred to us a mere two-hours before their brief lives were scheduled to come to an end. Little is known about their back-story, but they were picked up as strays with evidence of physical trauma -- presumably from abuse. The outcome of that, for Murdock, is what appears to be trauma-related brain-injury, with resulting developmental delays and visual "miswiring." Murdock is now one year old and, steadily, as the months pass, we see him evolving, with clear signs of incremental improvement [ex: increased visual tracking ability and less time "watching airplanes" that don't exist (not to us, at least)]! Despite his life-challenges and tough breaks, Murdock is one of the most innocent and happiest beings on earth, which says much about him! He would be best suited for a home that has plenty of love to give and can both accommodate his differences and support his potential. We have reason to believe that Murdock will blossom -- given a supportive environment, with exposure to standard doggy life-tasks, as well as graduated introduction to all types of stimulation. In return, this fellow will delight you daily with his unwavering optimism, his cute antics and his absolute lovability!

Seager

Seager
Seager came to us as a stray from Towaoc. He has been a part of our sanctuary and is, now, considered adoptable. He is, however, a shy guy and panics easily, leading him to be a flight-risk in certain circumstances; therefore, he will need handling in keeping with that -- meaning, a secure yard and excursions only on harness/leash. Seager is around 7 years old.

Sunshine

Sunshine
Sunshine is a wonderful family dog! She is about 4 years old and is a sweet, kid-friendly companion. She loves to run, swim, chase balls and retrieve sticks. Sunny does well with other, nonaggressive dogs. She is hyper upon first meeting, but settles in quickly. She does like to chase horses and deer and will need a fenced yard and leashed exercise. Sunny enjoys family activity and being in the great outdoors; she'll do best with an active individual or family.

Tatum

Tatum
Tatum is still looking for her life-time person. She is a "tom-boy," not into holding and petting, but a good watch-dog and a fun-loving companion. Tatum is a little ginger-colored girl, who was picked up as a stray, scared and alone. She is at a stable weight and in good form, after her time of having to scrounge for food and hide from dangers. Due to unknown experiences, she came into our shelter skittish/nervous and has made some headway in that area. Still, she will need a patient and loving handler -- someone with whom she can develop trust, who can accept her for her good qualities and not require a lap-dog. She is best suited for a quiet living situation, a household with no children. "Tater" is a part of a "pack" of small dogs out here, loves her pals and playtime and would most likely do quite well with another small household dog. She is probably 6 years old, around 5 to 6 pounds and infinitely cute!!

Timber

Timber
This Lab/Catahoula mix is black, with brindled legs and chest. He is a one-year-old, who has come from a household where he was not given sufficient exercise and attention; so, he'll be looking for plenty of that! He is good on leash, as well as with kids and other dogs. This boy is complete on vet-care and ready to find his new home. Timber is a very tall and handsome fellow, who has lots of life to share!

Titus

Titus
Titus is playful and active. He is up to date on all shots and neutered. Titus will need an active family or individual, who will join with him in hiking, walking, jogging, etc. He seems to love kids. Titus is the type of dog who will be protective of the home-front.

Toto

Toto
This senior Chiweenie will need a special home. He is overweight and needs gentle exercise on a regular basis. Toto is good with other dogs and loves lap-time. He would like a female caregiver, as he is not very good with men. A home without small children is also needed. He is between 11 and 12 years old.

Tyson

Tyson
Tyson is a German Terrier, with true-to-breed traits. He is very adoptable and likes kids -- but needs to be the only dog on the home-front, as he is aggressive with most dogs (a few exceptions apply). He will need a job and ample exercise, as well as a secure yard. Tyson is between 7 1/2 and 8 years old and came from a high-kill, out-of-state shelter.
