Courtesy Posting - Gizmo
As a courtesy posting, Gizmo is not on-site at Annie's Orphans and is described as represented to us. Please, contact the number at the end of this bio for more information. Gizmo is a 17 month old pit-bull/beagle mix. He has been neutered, is up-to-date on his shots, and has a microchip. The owners have recently needed to downsize and can no longer offer him the attention and full life he deserves. He’s done well in a crate, but doesn’t stay in one regularly. He is not fond of being alone outside. Gizmo has a very outgoing personality and is always looking for the next adventure. He is full of life and loves to run, hike, and play hard, in general, making him the perfect outdoor companion! He is great with kids and loves to cuddle. Please give Trista a call at 970-749-9594.

Cowboy 2 - Adoption pending

Cowboy 2 - Adoption pending
Cowboy is wanting a home where he'll get lots of love and attention. He is an easy-going, quiet fellow, with a sweet personality. He also gets along well with other dogs. Cowboy came in a bit thin and dull-coated, so we have made some healthy dietary changes to enhance his nutritional status, after which he will be scheduled for basic vet-care. Cowboy is a 3 year old, Husky-Catahoula mix, of approximately 50 pounds.

Daisy

Daisy
An exceedingly attractive dog, Daisy is a red brindle and white girl, with the red coloration extending to her nose as well! She was picked up as a stray and subsequently surrendered by her owner. Daisy is 7 years old and probably house-trained, but we will be very selective with choosing an adopter for her, since Daisy requires a dog-savvy individual with a sense of commitment to training. She has demonstrated some non-combative, but sketchy, patterns in interactions with other dogs as she has gotten older.

Ditto

Ditto
Ditto is a black BC/Aussie mix, with one white foot. He came in with 2 other brothers. They were all locked into a dirty, small yard and abandoned when the previous owners moved. A good soul intervened, bringing them to Annie's and, while they came in a bit underweight, they were in general good health. Ditto is looking to bond with someone who can offer him the time and patience he needs for adjusting to a new setting. He will bond easily, but needs gradually-phased socialization. He is under 1 year old.

Eddie

Eddie
Eddie is a German Terrier who is adoptable to the right person -- an individual with a lot of dog experience and training know-how. He has abundant energy that needs to be applied in a positive direction. He will require a secured, fenced yard and a home with no other pets, as he is unpredictable with other dogs. He can also be unpredictable with strangers. Eddie is 8 years old and came from a high-kill, out-of-state shelter. He has been treated for heart-worm disease and is clear to be adopted.

Jackson

Jackson
Jackson came to us from an out-of-state shelter. He is a young guy (around 1 year old) with a full life of fun ahead of him (something he came close to being denied). This fellow is very good with other dogs and a friendly fellow, in general. He is microchipped, complete with vet-work and ready for his special someone to give a call.

Lazarus

Lazarus
Lazarus was literally taken from the table at an out-of-state shelter. Now, he is looking for that promise of a good life! Lazarus is 1 year old and good with other dogs. We are still learning about him, but have found that, while generally outgoing, he does not like the sound of thunder.

Little Boy

Little Boy
Little Boy is a black and tan Min-Pin/Chihuahua mix. He is a good guard dog, in that he puts forth a good show of being a tough-guy; however, he is a sweet fellow in his own uniquely independent way. LB was surrendered to us after he wandered to someone's house and made that his temporary home. He has made a great change for the better since being here, now that he's had plenty of opportunity to develop trusting connections.

Martini

Martini
Martini is a Chihuahua mix and is feeling unsettled about recent changes in her life. She is 8 years old and came to our shelter with her best-buddy canine friend. She may be part Rat Terrier and is looking for a stable home in order to regain her confidence.

Murdock

Murdock
This happy little boy is representative of Annie's Orphans' dedication to the foundations that "LIFE MATTERS" and "EVERYONE DESERVES A FAIR CHANCE." This young Carolina Dog mix and his brother were transferred to us a mere two-hours before their brief lives were scheduled to come to an end. Little is known about their back-story, but they were picked up as strays with evidence of physical trauma -- presumably from abuse. The outcome of that, for Murdock, is what appears to be trauma-related brain-injury, with resulting developmental delays and visual "miswiring." Murdock is now one year old and, steadily, as the months pass, we see him evolving, with clear signs of incremental improvement [ex: increased visual tracking ability and less time "watching airplanes" that don't exist (not to us, at least)]! Despite his life-challenges and tough breaks, Murdock is one of the most innocent and happiest beings on earth, which says much about him! He would be best suited for a home that has plenty of love to give and can both accommodate his differences and support his potential. We have reason to believe that Murdock will blossom -- given a supportive environment, with exposure to standard doggy life-tasks, as well as graduated introduction to all types of stimulation. In return, this fellow will delight you daily with his unwavering optimism, his cute antics and his absolute lovability!
