Cowboy 2

Cowboy 2
Cowboy is wanting a home where he'll get lots of love and attention. He is an easy-going, quiet fellow, with a sweet personality. He also gets along well with other dogs. Cowboy came in a bit thin and dull-coated, so we have made some healthy dietary changes to enhance his nutritional status, after which he will be scheduled for basic vet-care. Cowboy is a 3 year old, Husky-Catahoula mix, of approximately 50 pounds.

Daisy

Daisy
An exceedingly attractive dog, Daisy is a red brindle and white girl, with the red coloration extending to her nose as well! She was picked up as a stray and subsequently surrendered by her owner. Daisy is 7 years old and probably house-trained, but we will be very selective with choosing an adopter for her, since Daisy requires a dog-savvy individual with a sense of commitment to training. She has demonstrated some non-combative, but sketchy, patterns in interactions with other dogs as she has gotten older.

Ditto

Ditto
Ditto is a black BC/Aussie mix, with one white foot. He came in with 2 other brothers. They were all locked into a dirty, small yard and abandoned when the previous owners moved. A good soul intervened, bringing them to Annie's and, while they came in a bit underweight, they were in general good health. Ditto is an outgoing pup, seemingly in the mid-range of dominant/submissive with siblings. He is under 1 year old.

Eddie

Eddie
Eddie is a German Terrier who is adoptable to the right person -- an individual with a lot of dog experience and training know-how. He has abundant energy that needs to be applied in a positive direction. He will require a secured, fenced yard and a home with no other pets, as he is unpredictable with other dogs. He can also be unpredictable with strangers. Eddie is 8 years old and came from a high-kill, out-of-state shelter. He has been treated for heart-worm disease and is clear to be adopted.

Geena - IN FOSTER HOME

Geena - IN FOSTER HOME
Geena is protective, and she also has a defined preference for females. Geena came to us as an out-of-state stray. She is strong-minded, but responsive to training. Very fun-oriented, she has cute antics and is delightful to watch. Geena is an attractive dog, with very nice markings. The best placement for her will be in a household where she will largely be with the person or persons familiar to her -- not a lot of "stranger-traffic" and no children. UPDATE: Geena is currently being fostered and is receiving training and special attention from her foster mom!

Jack(3)

Jack(3)
Jack looks like a Saluki mix, with the tall, long-legged, slim appearance of a sight hound. Jack also has other tendencies of a sight-hound, making it unlikely that he would be good with small dogs or cats. His hair is short except for that on his ears and tail. He is gorgeous and challenging to describe, as his coloration is a mix of four colors and he has fascinating, yellow eyes! He is probably between one and two years old.

Murdock

Murdock
This happy little boy is representative of Annie's Orphans' dedication to the foundations that "LIFE MATTERS" and "EVERYONE DESERVES A FAIR CHANCE." This young Carolina Dog mix and his brother were transferred to us a mere two-hours before their brief lives were scheduled to come to an end. Little is known about their back-story, but they were picked up as strays with evidence of physical trauma -- presumably from abuse. The outcome of that, for Murdock, is what appears to be trauma-related brain-injury, with resulting developmental delays and visual "miswiring." Murdock is now one year old and, steadily, as the months pass, we see him evolving, with clear signs of incremental improvement [ex: increased visual tracking ability and less time "watching airplanes" that don't exist (not to us, at least)]! Despite his life-challenges and tough breaks, Murdock is one of the most innocent and happiest beings on earth, which says much about him! He would be best suited for a home that has plenty of love to give and can both accommodate his differences and support his potential. We have reason to believe that Murdock will blossom -- given a supportive environment, with exposure to standard doggy life-tasks, as well as graduated introduction to all types of stimulation. In return, this fellow will delight you daily with his unwavering optimism, his cute antics and his absolute lovability!

Pickle

Pickle
This little guy is a young, mixed breed fellow...we're guessing maybe some Heeler, maybe some Corgi. He is simply the best boy: good with everything and everybody. He is house trained and well-mannered, great on the leash and currently in foster-care while he waits for permanent placement. Pickle is 1 year old. He is socially-driven and will need a home with other dogs.

Riffraff (Raffi)-Adoption pending

Riffraff (Raffi)-Adoption pending
This boy is a pistol; sharp and full of energy! Raffi is an outgoing and friendly little man, sure to win your heart! He is black and white, with a bit of freckling and as cute as they come! Raffi is 3 months old, always ready for fun, and he plays very well with other dogs.

Shooter

Shooter
Shooter is possibly a Saluki mix. He looks to be 8 to 9 months old and was found on an isolated strip of road near the 4-Corners Monument. He is being brought back to a state of good health, as his coat and condition currently reflect the tough load that living as a stray has exacted. Nevertheless, this boy's spirit has survived: He loves everyone! He is gentle and cuddly; however, he is afraid of brooms/sticks and will need some desensitizing around this to build trust that people can "behave responsibly" with their tools.
