Sam is a large, ginger-colored, 8 year old, Chihuahua boy. He and his friend, Pam, needed placement when their aging companions moved into assisted living, and Annie's was called since the family hoped to avoid any risk that the beloved pets might be euthanized. While a little stand-offish initially, Sam is very friendly/sweet and listens well. He has slimmed down since his arrival here and weighs in at 16 lbs now. He will be happiest placed in a home with a gentle, small, female dog. He loves playing the role of "big brother." Sam is already microchipped.
