Annie’s Orphans hosting the 3rd Annual Endless Linguini Dinner and Silent Auction – June 9th, 2009
DURANGO, Colo. — June 3, 2009 — Annie’s Orphans No-Kill Dog Shelter is excited to announce that it will be holding its 3rd annual Endless Linguini Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction at the Lost Dog Bar and Lounge on June 9th, 2009 at 6pm. This event is fun for the whole family and all proceeds go to benefit Annie’s Orphans shelter for abused, neglected and abandoned dogs from throughout the Four Corners area.
The Lost Dog Bar and Lounge will again generously donate their facilities and provide a delicious all-you-can-eat linguini dinner buffet that is included with the price of admission. Admission to the event will be $8 for kids and $10 for adults or $12 for adults with an included a beer or glass of wine. During the event, there will also be a fun slide show of the “orphans” at Annie’s and the highlight silent auction. The silent auction will include great donations from throughout the community to benefit the dogs. With great donations including a special Durango Osprey backpack filled with local goodies, a huge treat basket from Zukes, Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge tickets and much more, there is something fun for every family to bid on.
At Annie’s, we have been providing a safe-haven for the abused and neglected pet population from throughout the Four Corners region since 1985 with up to 70 dogs at any given time. “Many of our dogs have had very hard lives before they come to Annie’s and, while most become fantastic companions in a loving and patient home, some dogs do have behavioral or healthcare needs that make them more difficult to adopt,” said Kory Samson, an Annie’s volunteer. For those that cannot be adopted, being a No-Kill shelter means that if a dog cannot find a new home, it will always have a safe and caring place at Annie’s.
Please come out and support Annie’s Orphans and help our community members that cannot help themselves.
