Tatum

Tatum is still looking for her life-time person. She is a "tom-boy," not into holding and petting, but a good watch-dog and a fun-loving companion. Tatum is a little ginger-colored girl, who was picked up as a stray, scared and alone. She is at a stable weight and in good form, after her time of having to scrounge for food and hide from dangers. Due to unknown experiences, she came into our shelter skittish/nervous and has made some headway in that area. Still, she will need a patient and loving handler -- someone with whom she can develop trust, who can accept her for her good qualities and not require a lap-dog. She is best suited for a quiet living situation, a household with no children. "Tater" loves being part of a pack, with other small dogs, with whom she can have all-day playtime! She is probably 7 years old, around 5 to 6 pounds and infinitely cute!!

Titus

Titus is probably a Guardian Breed mix, possibly Akbash. He is up to date on all shots and neutered. Titus will need an active individual, who will join with him in hiking, walking, jogging, etc. He seems to like kids, judging from his actions out here. He is 2 1/2 years old. Titus is the type of dog who will be protective of the home-front; so we are looking for placement with someone who has skill with guardian breeds.

Tyson

Tyson is a German Terrier, with true-to-breed traits.  He is good with people and likes older kids. While previously more dog-aggressive, he has mellowed with age and actually seeks out engagement with some dogs; still, it is probably best to say he would prefer to be a solo-pet. He will need a job and ample exercise, as well as a secure yard.  Tyson is 9 years old and came to our shelter from a high-kill, out-of-state shelter.

Arya

This 10-month-old is in temporary foster-care, where she is being provided with individualized, post-surgery focus. She was brought to our shelter the victim of gunshot wounds, which demanded immediate attention. Sadly, this beautiful girl’s left front leg couldn’t be saved. She is, understandably, dog-defensive right now, and it will take some time for us to see her true inclinations with respect to other dogs. Arya is crate- and house-trained. She is not yet spayed, but this will be taken care of when possible. Even during these few days of post-surgery recovery, she has been easy and responsive. We are looking for loving and safe (no-kids/no dogs) foster care or permanent placement which will be able to provide care for her healing and help her return to a promising life.

Wolfie

Wolfie was born at Annie's Orphans, to a pregnant mother who was accepted from an out-of-state shelter prior to being euthanized. He was adopted out as a baby and was returned within the first year of his life for pack aggression toward another household pet. Additionally, Wolfie develops a strong bond with a person and has shown protective/guarding behaviors when other people approach the primary individual. Adoption is a possibility to only the right individual who has knowledge of the breed and of handling challenging behaviors in dogs. The necessary living arrangement would include a quiet setting with a solo person. Wolfie is 7 years old.
