Volunteering at Annie’s K9 Orphans

Looking to give back to your community?

Annie’s Orphans operates almost entirely off of kind volunteers like you! We are always in need of help with a wide variety of projects, events and care. We appreciate the continued support from our community.

Ways to Volunteer

  • Working With Dogs

We could always use helpers who want to work hands on with dogs. This may include walking, training, grooming, feeding and/or socializing dogs. We also need dog handlers for adoption events.

  • Facilities Maintenance

There is a always something that needs fixing on the property. We could use volunteer mechanics for our vehicles, carpenters to help with fencing/ dog houses, plumbers, electricians, painters and just about any other trade you can think of. If you would like to use your skills to volunteer at Annie’s, please reach out!

  • Business Operations

With the help of volunteers, Anna manages all of Annie’s Orphans business operations. She could use help with accounting, graphic design, marketing, fundraising, advertising and many other technical aspects of business operations. If you would like to volunteer your skills and time, we would love to have you on our team!

  • Mandated Community Service

Complete your community service hours with Annie’s Orphans! This opportunity is open to adult applicants who do not have a history of any violent crimes or theft. Please, email us for more information about this program.

  • Group Volunteer Days

Do you have a group interested in helping out at the shelter? Businesses, sports teams, church groups and other organizations can schedule a day to volunteer together. We can organize up to 20 volunteers at a time. Text Anna at (970) 759-8811 to set up a group day!

    “Many hands make light work.”

  • Fostering

Fostering a dog is another way you can volunteer at Annie’s. You can find more information about fostering with us, here.
