Giving forgotten dogs a second chance.

A true “NO KILL” dog shelter located in Durango, CO.

WE ARE FULL!

We are sad to say it, but we are at max capacity at Annie’s Orphans and can no longer accept any more dogs. Funds and adoptions are at an all time low so we must focus on the dogs we currently have.

If you are looking to rehome your dog, please consider finding them a home rather than taking them to a shelter. If you would like to post your dog on the Courtesy Postings portion of our website, please submit a thorough bio and images to Katie.DurangoDog@gmail.com.

Winters at the shelter can be hard. We are currently collecting financial and item dotation’s to help us keep the pups warm, happy and healthy. Some donation ideas might be; dog jackets, food, treats, blankets, clean hay bails, gravel and more. See our WISHLIST for specific items we might need. Financial donations and volunteering are also great ways to support us!

“You can tell that Annie loves all of the doggies here! Her compassion is admirable. We adopted a sweep puppy from her and are so excited! Here is a picture of our Maple. She is by far the best family dog we have ever owned. Thank you Annie for helping us find our sweet puppy!”
